About Troop 642

TROOP INFORMATION

The mission of Troop 642 is to help our boys grow into fine young men as they journey through the successful time-honored traditions of the Boy Scouts of America. We provide an exciting program where they will be exposed to and taught self-confidence through leadership, self-reliance, initiative, and community service. We provide a safe environment in which they will have fun as well gain rewarding experience with memories, skills, and friendships that will last a lifetime.

    COMMUNITY SERVICE AND PHILANTHROPY

Service to Others is an extremely important component of the Boy Scouts of America program and Troop 642 expects all Scouts to be actively involved in giving back to their community. We hope the philanthropic attitudes and values that we teach will carry over into their adult years.

    SUMMER CAMP

Every year the Troop attends a weeklong Scout resident summer camp. In years past, we have gone to Camp Emerald Bay on Catalina Island, Camp Whisett in the Sequoia National Forest, Camp Makualla near Crater Lake in Oregon, Camp Geronimo in the White Mountains of Arizona, Camp Circle X near Lake Arrowhead, and Mataguay Scout Reservation in San Diego.
